Had a great experience at the chocolatarium on a Saturday evening. Mackenzie was a great tour guide and host and make the experience super fun and wholesome! The experience lasted the perfect amount of time, great value for money and learned a lot whilst getting to taste loads of different chocolates and also making a bar each! Definitely would recommend for a fun activity in the city!

Our family did a tour and chocolate making class and it was so lovely! We learned a lot and had a great time! Our chocolate bars turned out great and all the different types of chocolate that we were able to try were really fun! Would definitely suggest this to anyone!

It was a great experience making your own truffles and finding out a little bit more about the process and history of chocolate. It s a great date night idea as well as fun day out with friends or family.

What a find! Our guides name was Cocoa and she was absolutely brilliant: very passionate and knowledgeable. The chocolate tasting was amazing and we had a wonderful time making our own chocolate creations. I would definitely recommend this experience!

Booked a Wine and Chocolate Tasting out of curiosity for our anniversary and it was amazing!
The whole experience was led by Bogi who was very knowledgeable, friendly and great fun! We learned so much and got to make our own chocolate too. They gave us an extra heart mould due to it being our anniversary which I thought was a lovely touch.
My favourite part was definitely the end where we got to try pairing our favourite wine with different chocolates.
Highly recommend and definitely book in advance! 😊

From start to finish this place is great. I learnt so much about chocolate! You’d think it’s just made and sold for our consumption but the history, production and work that goes into creation really is eye opening.
The tour was awesome and the bonus chocolate tasting and making our own chocolate bars was the icing on the cake. Or should I say the milk on the chocolate ;)
Shoutout to Kelly for keeping the tour fun and interactive. She presented really well and kept all of us engaged. I’d 100% recommend this place to anyone wanting to visit Edinburgh.. if they’re chocolate fans!!

The tour guide was very fun and knowledgeable (thank you Leslie). She made the whole experience very enjoyable and engaging. We learnt a lot about the history and the process of making chocolate, and we get to make our own chocolate bars. A must do when in Edinburgh!

Very Informative, Very Fun experience. Guy speaks clear and fast and does not waste any second for chocolate history, facts and gags. Very clear on safeguarding, high variety on chocolate toppings for our workshop and a few molds. high variety on choclate tasting.

We did the Chocolate-tasting & Chocolate-making experience, led by Kelly. She was excellent & informative, the chocolate was exceptional & the experience was very enjoyable.
We were spoilt for choice for excellent chocolate to buy in the shop afterwards.

Our visit in The Chocolatarium will be forever remembered by us as it was a very pleasant experience! We had an opportunity to learn about chocolate, taste lots of different kinds of it and even got to make our own. The staff was incredibly nice and had a big knowledge about everything regarding chocolate. Highly recommended!

I visited on Monday with my 9 year old son, to end what was an amazing long weekend in Edinburgh. I'm so glad I booked the Chocolate workshop as it was the highlight of our trip. Our host Kelly was funny, kind, informative and educational! She interacted with us all extremely well and willingly answered any questions. It was timed so well. We weren't rushed at all and the chocolate tasting was superb ! We loved creating our own bars and taking them home as a memory from our trip. Thank you Kelly for being superb , you are fantastic at your job :) This is a must go to place if your visiting.

The best tour that we could have done in our trip. Kelly was such an amazing tour guide and truly enthusiastic with her role. This tour is not interesting because of the introduction to chocolate production and its different flavour, but also because of the history and economics explained. It suits all ages. Looking forward to visiting again in my next trip. P.s: try the Banofe pie chocolate at the end of tour: it's a must!

We had a fantastic time! We learned all about the chocolate making process, little details and the history we didn’t know. We were eating chocolate throughout (very little time was spent not consuming some kind of chocolate). We discovered new types of chocolate and enjoyed getting creative making our own. Our guide was fantastic. Thank you for a great experience ☺️

Absolutely worth a visit. Coco ( yes it was her name) was really informative about the history and sustainability of chocolate. Just the right amount of information , tasting, and best of all making your own chocolate bar. Well worth it.

This was a surprisingly good experience.
We booked tickets in advance, as we were looking for indoor activities because the weather was bad, and I didn't know what to expect. I've been on a chocolate factory tour before, but this wasn't like that.
The young woman who took our group was friendly, helpful and knowledgeable. She gave a wide-ranging talk about the history of chocolate, the funding arrangements, the manufacturing process and how different conditions impact the taste.
The whole thing was helped along by several tastings, I particularly liked the hot chocolate.
We then went into another room, where we had the opportunity to make our own chocolate bar, in a variety of shapes, with different flavourings, from either dark or milk chocolate. This is my effort - the white spots are ginger pieces.
We had a broad age range, from pre-teen to retired grand-parents, and everyone got something from it. The guide was patient and very willing to answer questions or give further explanations if asked.
All-in-all a very enjoyable experience, which will make us think a bit more about our chocolate.

Brilliant tour, Sandy our tour guide was amazing very informative and enthusiastic.
I now know alot about chocolate that I didn't know before and best of all we got to taste some very delicious chocolate and then make our very own chocolate to take home. Enjoyed from start to finish and fully recommend we even purchased chocolate we had tasted on our tour from the little shop at the end. 😋🍫⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Booked the Chocolate tour and experience on Valentine's day for my Mom and I. The guide was HILARIOUS (shout out MacKenzie), and had my mom giggling the whole time. You are given so much chocolate, of many different varieties, and all of it is extremely high quality. Making the chocolate bar was so fun, and the best souvenir to take home!
